I created a wiki page using PBworks and the address is:
http://welearninthisclass.pbworks.com/
I have to admit I thought I was technology suave until I did all the work for this week. I had never heard of google reader, creating screen shots, diigo and goodreads. It was amazing to me how much I learned and enjoyed learning about these tools that I can use to organize the many social networks etc in my life. My wiki page took me the longest, but now I have a website that I can use as a template for my future classroom. I found that as I was creating each extra page especially the content page I grew more and more excited to add the moon phase google gadget and my teachertube link. I think I will end up using goodreads the most because just checking off the books I want to read it inspired me to continue reading. After creating several screen shots i realized I had no idea what the function of the "prt scr" key was and it surprised me how easy of a task it was to save.
Everything was useful. I am not sure how much I am going to use diigo for my personal use. However, in the classroom this will be a perfect way to organize articles in relation to what they are learning. I found that the hardest parts were the creations of the the different wiki pages. I mainly struggled on the content page, but I think it turned out nicely.

Hi Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteAmazing wiki! I loved the gadget that you chose because it fit your lesson so well. I also liked the picture of yourself and the description that you used to introduce yourself. I can see how your survey could really help you meet the needs of the students in your future classes. Excellent job! You are also doing a great job with this blog. I am glad that you were inspired by Goodreads. Goodreads always reminds me that I have to get better at reading books. I think I only have three books I am sharing right now. haha. I've got to get better at that. Excellent job!
